Yummy Yummy @ Pantai Bersih, Butterworth

My family and I went to a seafood restaurant by the seaside. It's quite famous, I heard. The food is quite ok, at an affordable price. However, personally, I think that this place will suit anyone with not-so-strong taste. The dishes are neither salty nor excessive-MSG-added. Thus, it offers homely yet tasty food. To add to its credit, the serving size of the food is adequate, neither too big or too small.

The restaurant is located by the sea. So, while enjoying the meals, the customers actually have a chance to enjoy the beautiful sea view too.

Fried Tofu
This is the "Jiu Pai ToFu". For this dish, different restaurants might serve it differently. Some would prepare it in terms of fried tofu in which the tofu is a mixture of some vegetables and tofu itself, while the others might have them lightly fried with some minced meat on top. This restaurant served the first type of tofu and the texture of the tofu is quite smooth with some carrot slices in it.

Curry Fish Head
This dish is very appetizing with its little sour and spicy taste.

Steamed Prawn with Egg
The prawns are fresh. When being steamed, its freshness is totally brought out. However, like I mentioned before, this dish also comes with light flavour. So, don't expect you will be served something very rich and strong in taste, which to me, I would use the word "salty".

Home Sweet Home Series - Dinner (3 Dishes + 1 Soup)

This time, I would like to introduce everyone to dishes prepared specially by my parents. They are not artificially flavoured, 100% fresh and tasty! I missed those food so much before I returned. Though not some very expensive food and not some very special food, however, they are some home-prepared food, not available elsewhere! :D

Closer view of the dishes:

Sardin in Curry
Sardin in Curry
The sardins tasted similar to the tinned one. They were cooked by my mom. I was told that a pressure cooker was used to cook the sardins in which even the bones of the fishes were soften, just like what the tinned ones offer. :P Then, the sardins were then used to cook the curry, which was prepared by my father. My dad loves to cook curry! I guess because he loves to eat curry very much.

Well, this is just some ordinary vegetables with ordinary type of cooking style. :P But, I still think it's better than what I could come out with.

Yong Tau Foo in Tomyam
Yong Tau Foo in Tomyam
Well, this gotta be my favourite of all these dishes. My mom cooked the yong tau foo herself. The fillings were yummy. They were made of fish, with the flesh beaten into thick texture, and of cause with some seasonings added. Hey, but no MSG at all! That's what home-cooked-food are valuable of! :P
By the way, the tomyam paste was also prepared by my mom herself. However, I have no idea how it was prepared, as I was not at home when she made it.
