Yummy Yummy @ Kim Gary

15th of October 2005, this was the eve of my buddy's birthday. With the thought of letting her bf celebrate her birthday for her, I booked her birthday's eve. We went to MidValley, which is easily accessible by public transport from our house. When we reached there, we first bought 3 movie tickets for the movie Wait Till You're Older which is a highly recommended movie. Then, we went to Secret Recipe to buy 2 pieces of cake before we headed to our destination - Kim Gary. She chose that restaurant as the venue for her birthday treat from me. Guess she really likes the Chessy Steamed Rice there very much.

We ordered two set lunches which include an appetizer, a main course, a dessert and a drink. For each set, the price ranging from RM 13++ to RM 16++ depending on which topping chosen. For the appetizer, we can choose from cream soup and tomato soup (Luo song tang). For main course, it's the Cheesy Steamed Rice, but for toppings, we could choose from a list of choices. There are the Chicken Chop, Pork Chop, Fish Fillet, etc. And there are two kind of sauces that we could choose from, the white and red one. I ordered the Red Sauced Fish Fillet Cheesy Steamed Rice while Hooi Weng chose the White Sauced Chicken Chop Cheesy Steamed Rice. As for the dessert, since we have tasted the default jelly which we thought was not that nice, we decided to add-on RM1 for a change to a strawberry yogurt. For drink, we got ourselves "yin-yong" (a HongKong style of drink which is actually Coffee + Milked Tea), and they tasted quite nice.

Yummy Yummy @ Asia Cafe

14th of October 2005

There were nine of us. We went to Asia Cafe at SS15 to have our dinners. Asia Cafe is similar to a Food Court with around 70 or more stalls. It is exactly opposite the Inti College. The environment is not bad with a big screen at the inner side of the cafe, which MTVs are always showed, or perhaps some football matches during its season. That was my second visit to Asia Cafe. Though I have been there before, I was still excited on the number of stalls there.

I also ordered the Korean Food and it is the one recommended by the stall people as the "Da Chang Jin" food at RM 13.90(if my short-term memory still functioning properly), and according to him, we don't have to go over to Korea to experience the "Da Chang Jin" food. We could do it just there! As for the taste, I would say so-so only?!! :p LOL...

The Costliest Movie Ticket

On the 25th of September, we went to watch the Myth. It was quite nice provided that you have some knowledge regarding the Qin Dynasty's Shi Huang Ti's Tomb. However, I think that the conclusion should be more elaborated.

After the movie, we decided to have Domino's Pizza as our dinner. I am now officially the Domino's Millennium Gold Card's member! A fee of RM 20 per year and I could enjoy a Buy-One-Free-One (Buy any large pizza at standard menu price and receive a second pizza free) benefit.

Next, the tragedy is on the agenda! Okay, it's not that serious, but it was definitely a $$-burning occurence! My boyfriend lost his handphone! We rushed back to the cinema Hall 5 when we found out the shocking fact. But, to our expectation, it was not there anymore. We suspected the cleaners or the attendants there picked it up and owned it as we were the last to leave the hall. Sigh... Now, he managed to get his number back, but there wasn't a handphone to insert his sim card into yet. Donation, everyone? :P

the Old Friend and the Classiest Toilet

On the 24th of September, my boyfriend and I went to MidValley to meet an old friend of his, Han Shuan. Their friendship is kind of fictional. Haha...

Well, in short, they knew each other for more than ten years and they have not seen each other for ten years. TEN whole years!!! Recently, through some friends, they got in touch again. I still remember vividly that my boyfriend said he had even thought of putting an advertisement on the newspaper for the search of his friend. Well, the whole incident just showed that it must have been fate that brought them together.

We had our lunch at Kim Gary, MidValley. We had set lunches which included an appetizer, a main course, a dessert and a drink for each set. Though it's not really like the formal course dinner in some Western Restaurants where we would stuff our stomach with loads of food, we still had our stomach pretty full. The appetizer could be of a choice from Tomato Soup or Chicken Creamy Soup. In this case, we ordered the Tomato Soup. For the main course, I had the Cheesy Steamed Rice with Fish Fillets while my boyfriend ordered the same thing but with Chicken Fillets instead. It tasted not bad, I would say. Oh ya, there are two kind of sauces to be chosen from, the white sauce or the red sauce. Don't ask me those two sauces are of what ingredients. But I would recommend the red one. Mind you, Kim Gary is always famous with its Cheesy Steamed Rice. However, the taste of the dessert which is some kind of a jelly wasn't really that good. Well, personal opinions, no offence.

Since it was an outing, we decided to go somewhere else after the lunch. Han Shuan recommended a place where we should be hanging out later! It was the Toilet! Yeah, your eyes are functioning correctly, and I wasn't having some typo errors. According to him, which he saw from some newspapers or magazines, the toilets at Star Hill was gorgeous, stylish, fashionable, err... It's simply amazing! I thought it was some kind of an architechture from Egypt. I wouldn't really know how should I describe that. All I would say that if you ever pay StarHill a visit, you should really visit the toilets at the lower ground floor too. It was just so cool.
(P/S : If you don't know how to wash your hands using that "tool", don't worry. There is an attendant to your service. And perhaps, you would consider paying a small fee as tip? :D)
