I Won!!! I Won!!!

Wow, it must be my lucky day to let me know the news that I had won something. Countable using five fingers of my hand, I had won in an online contest. And the prizes are an album of Rob Thomas - ...something to be and a 3-day trial pass membership to True Fitness, a Fitness & Yoga centre at Desa Sri Hartamas. Oh, god, how am I going to travel that far for 3 days for some Yoga classes? No way, I am not gonna doing that. I don't even have any transport of my own! Okay...Who wants the pass?

Anyway, thanks for letting me won the prize. At least, it gave me hope that I am not having that bad luck again, not anymore. Yeah...good things are coming my way! Hurray!

Yummy Yummy @ Ipoh

At my recent trip to Ipoh, my family and I spent some time trying out some famous food at some recommended eateries.

Day 1

During the day, we had our lunch at the Ipoh Parade. We ordered Chee Cheong Fun which I thought was not nice at all. We also tried the Yee Mee. Its taste is still ok, not bad, I would say. At night, since it was my brother's birthday, we decided to buy him a nice dinner. So, we went to the well known Overseas Restaurant. We ordered 4 dishes which costed us around 130 over bucks.

Day 2

We had our breakfast at the Foh San Restaurant which is famous for its Dim Sum. We ordered quite some number of dishes and they totaled up to around RM 55++. Quite a variety of dim sums are available there and they are worth trying. There were also some special Dim Sum which I never seen before in Penang and they tasted not bad either. Recommended.

After a few hours wandering around Ipoh, it was time again for our lunch. Though we are not hungry yet, but to accomodate my schedule (I was going back to KL at around 2:30pm), we had our lunch at around 12:40pm, some 3 hours after our breakfast. We had it at the Ong Kee Restaurant, famously known for its "Nga-Choi-Kai" (Steamed Chicken with bean sprouts).

We also stopped by at the Aun Kheng Lim Restaurant to buy a salted chicken. For your information, those chickens are only valid for takeaway and one whole chicken is the minimum purchase at RM15++. Looking at some newspaper cuttings and some reportings pasted on the wall outside the restaurant, we found out that it first started off as a small business and now, as the wholesaler of salted chicken. Salute~

Proud of Him - The Very 3rd of Sept 2005

I was in Ipoh together with my family on the 3rd of September. It was actually my brother's birthday. We went down there to support him for his bowling competition and celebrate his birthday. And of course, to enjoy the food there! We treated our stomachs in a quite luxurious way. We had the famously known Dim Sum at Foh San Restaurant, the Taugeh Chicken Rice at Onn Kei Restaurant, the tasty dishes at the Overseas Restaurant and last but not least, the Salted Chicken at the Aun Kheng Lim Restaurant (Only valid for takeaway).

I, Myself, and Saturday

Saturday by CARPENTERS

Saturday began just the same as other days
But ended up different in many ways
Love is in my world since Saturday

Mornin' came but somehow it didn't seem the same
The sadness of Friday had somehow changed
To the happy sounds of Saturday
Saturday, ever-loving Saturday

I whistle to bluebirds
I tried to tell them how you brought me sunshine
My head’s filled with new words
That sing to the sounds of happy day after Friday

(*) Come and see the flowers of love she gave to me
The touches of laughter and harmony
To the happy sounds of Saturday
Saturday, ever-loving Saturday

My head's full of new words
Sing to the sounds of the day after Friday
Day after Friday

Repeat (*)

Saturday, Saturday, ever-loving Saturday

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since I've started working, my Saturdays are just colourful, especially during the August. I spent my Saturdays everywhere.
On the 23rd of July, the annually Mega Sales started. I grabed the opportunity and paid MidValley a visit. Well, I did spent quite an amount of money, at least it was, to me. But, my bargains from the "war" seems nowhere now. Hmm...Guess I didn't buy that much things anyway. :P Oh ya, my friends and I joined some "Fragrance-smelling" competition and we did got something back. Actually, it was just a booth set up by Lancome to promote its products. There were like station games, which I used to play during my secondary years. Well, quite a refreshing experience for me this time - refreshing my memory of old times...
On the 30th July, the fever of shopping in us haven't faded. We decided to go One Utama this time, MidValley didn't seems enough to satisfy our shopping mood anymore...Heh... This time, I did try to control my budget. Though I spent less than the amount I did on the previous Saturday, it was still quite an amount. Sigh... Going to tight my stomach for the next few weeks.
On the 6th of August August, this day was indeed a remarkable day for most of us. It was our graduation day! However, our graduation ceremony was divided into four sessions, two on the 6th of August and two on the 7th of August. It was held in Dewan Seri Melaka, Malacca. I arrived Malacca on Friday instead and took the chance to enjoy the food I used to eat during my Alpha year. I went to Jonker Walk too, enjoyed the food and had a beer there.
The next weekend after my Convocation, the 13th August, I spent it in my Home Sweet Home, Penang. Actually, this trip was a spontaneous one, thanks to the Haze?? Hehe... The haze was attacking Malaysia from Indonesia. The condition in Cyberjaya though not as serious as in several hotspots like Port Klang and Kuala Selangor. However, the air index in Cyberjaya(197) almost reached the critical level which was 200. And so, the Thursday (11th) and Friday (12th) were declared holidays by my company.
On the 20th of August, I went back to Penang again. However, this was a planned trip. I took leave for the Friday and the next Monday. During the Saturday, I went shopping with my family. We enjoyed the food in Gurney Drive and we spent our night in Secret Recipe, Gurney Plaza. And I bought my beloved Reebok Walking Shoes in Gurney Plaza. :P
On the 27th August, I visited the Education UK Exhibition which was held in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. I took some brochures and talked to the people in various booth. There were quite a lot of visitors there. Another amazing fact to share ~ the people in Malaysia is really good at queueing. There was this Aquaria at KLCC which was opening. There was a very very very long queue, passing the food court, part of a building, and the carpark! I wondered if they were queueing up for free entrance?
The 3rd September, I was back in Penang again!! But for a mere three to four hours before I headed to Ipoh, together with my mama(mother) and jiejie(sister). We would be visiting my little brother who was participating in a Bowling Competition and of course, having some fun and enjoying the food there. We visited the famously known Foh San Restaurant which sells Dim Sum, Onn Kei Restaurant which sells Taugeh Chicken Rice, Overseas Restaurant, and the Aun Kheng Lim Restaurant which sells Salted Chicken. My stomach enjoyed itself a lot during those two days. :D
On the 10th of September, this Saturday, finally, I stayed at home. I spent my day doing some house chores. Tiring, but with the cleaner place, my mood get better and my health too.
During the 17th of September, the Matta Fair was held in PWTC. On a mission assigned by my cute Mama, I visited the Matta Fair. I spent again, another large sum in buying some admission tickets for my family members and also booked a hotel room in Bukit Tinggi, yeah, it's the place with those French and Japanese Village.
Today is the 21st of September. This Saturday, would I be some place else other than my second home in Equine Park? Well, perhaps...Till then, bye for now...
